Increasing the impact of the TRC-P teaching platform for students and professionals
The Dutch Centre for Future Affordable Sustainable Therapy Development (FAST) offered the CHDR Academy a contribution to further develop the TRC-P teaching platform.
TRC-P is one of CHDR's contributions to pharmacology education in the Netherlands and abroad. It is a free online teaching platform that uses coherent graphic design and a symbol-oriented approach to explain complex concepts in pharmacology in an accessible way. ‘FAST’s € 50.000 contribution is a recognition of the value of TRC-P and the hard work of many professionals. The project offers an opportunity to further improve the platform and make it even more accessible to various groups of users’, say Director of Education Dr Jeroen van Smeden.
‘Pharmacotherapy is becoming increasingly complex’, says Professor Koos Burggraaf, Dean of the CHDR Academy. ‘That is why it is very important that students and professionals have up-to-date and easily accessible information, both about the basic principles of pharmacology and about the latest developments.’ Van Smeden: ‘We are looking forward to working with FAST and users from across the country, both teachers and students. Together, we want to further improve accessibility, develop novel interactive tutorials, and guarantee the quality of the knowledge platform.’ This process can be further strengthened by the FAST Forum, where developers can exchange ideas and find support to implement them.
